April 1- We Must Bear Fruit

Paul’s objective was to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. His primary goal was to reach distant lands where people have not heard the gospel. Paul quoted Isaiah’s prophecy

(Isaiah 52:15). He said, “but as it is written: “To whom He was not announced, they shall see; and those who have not heard shall understand.”(Romans 15:21).

Lesson:

Paul was a true follower of Jesus Christ who went everywhere to talk about his Master. For gospel’s sake, Paul escaped many assassination attempts; he risked his life almost every day by preaching to a reluctant audience. Despite many challenges, Paul the servant of God was never tired of preaching the gospel. His relentless efforts paid off eventually. Through the dynamic evangelistic style of Paul, the Asians, Greece, and Roman Empires were reached for gospel. In fact, Paul’s letters to gentiles become a significant part of the bible. Since Paul was a human being and a fellow Christian like us, we can also summon the courage to do great things for the kingdom of God. We should be encouraged to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone around us and to the world at large. All Christians – with no exception – must understand that our primary assignment is to preach Jesus Christ to the world. God will eventually evaluate and reward every Christian based on his or her obedience to God’s dear commandment – Preaching of the gospel!

Prayer:

Dear God, I do not want to be a fruitless child, but I want to be fruitful for your kingdom. Please help me to prioritize evangelism above other Christian assignments. Empower me to talk about Jesus Christ to my neighbors, my friends, and my family. Also, help me to support and be part of other efforts – from my church and other evangelistic ministries – so that distant lands can be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. For in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, I make all my requests. Amen.
