April 5 – We Must Preach The Gospel

God’s prophets advised Paul not to extend his evangelistic campaign to Jerusalem. They warned that he may be persecuted and die in the adventure. However, Paul insisted on his mission despite the warning of imminent danger.

“Paul responded to his counselors, “What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” So when he would not be persuaded, we (fellow brethren) ceased, saying, “The will of the Lord be done” (Acts 21:13-14).

Lesson:

God seeks dedicated preachers who will prioritize the propagation of the gospel above any influencing factor. Servants of God – with various talents and abilities – should summon the courage to step out of their comfort zones and adequately preach the gospel. God has invested so much grace into the lives of men and women who can break forth into the mainstream to launch end-time gospel crusades. We are mandated to use our available resources to elevate the name of Jesus Christ. We must use both primitive and sophisticated tools to evangelize the gospel. We must ensure that someone in Africa hears the gospel. It is our duty to ensure that a person currently located in Asia becomes born-again. People in South America, North America, Europe, and Australia must give their lives to Jesus Christ. We servants of God must not keep silent; we must influence all people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior so that they can enter the kingdom of God.

Prayer:

God, I want to be a fearless Christian who preaches the gospel by all means. I am determined and ready to preach the gospel; I will do this as much as I have your grace. I want to use my talents and resources to lead others to Jesus Christ – without complaining. Help me to use my existing abilities for your sake, and give me the new ones! Enable me to use my skill in drama presentations, music, communication, technology, and others to influence people for your kingdom. At the end of it all, let me enter heaven and hear your word “Weldone my good servant!” For in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord I make my requests. Amen.
