Some bible patriarchs made unpopular decisions through faith – against their society’s opinions, yet they were not ashamed. God supported their decisions and honored them, and he turned them to become uncommon champions. For instance,
“By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. By faith, he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned” (Hebrews 11:24-29).
Lesson:
Believers must exercise faith in every situation of their lives. The need to exercise faith cannot be overemphasized! Faith is what makes Christianity meaningful; without it, we are not different from gentiles. God is God of faith; believers must be people of faith also. We must live by faith, walk by faith, and act in faith. Our faith exercise will turn things around for our advantage. With faith in action, we will subdue mountains and level valleys. Faith will make us triumph in every situation, and we will have a course to glorify God. Every child of God must have a word of affirmation. Everyone Christian must be able to say “With God all things are possible!”
Prayer:
In the name of Jesus Christ, I profess my faith of salvation. In the name of Jesus Christ, I proclaim my steadfast Christianity. I will stand firm and not fall from the grace of the Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare my victory over every situation of life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, I triumph over principalities and powers. I declare myself a winner of all situations. I am a victor and I am a testimony. From today, doors of goodness, progress, and all greatness shall be opened for me on every side. I shall prosper in whatever I lay my hands on. I shall prosper in the house, and I shall prosper in the field. I shall prosper in all my endeavors, and my songs of testimony shall abide forever! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make all my declarations of faith. Amen.
