Jesus Christ taught his disciples how to pray in Luke 11:2-4; he further challenged them to apply faith with their prayers to have their expectations met. Jesus stated if imperfect people know how to think positively to assist their children, how much more will the perfect God not be willing to help those who trust him with their prayers. Jesus said,
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13).
Lesson:
God can help us more than any human being can. The Creator is not a man, and he cannot be expected to act lesser than any man! Jehovah is full of resources, and he is ever willing to liberally help people who reserve their trust in him. Hence, believers are encouraged to keep their faith in God since he will carefully handle their situations and award them victory. God will answer the prayers of his people to honor his name in their lives.
Prayer:
Dear God, I ask you to please help me to trust you during my time of need. Help me to seek Your face in prayer, and also help me to apply faith. Let my confidence pay of with songs of testimony. Please keep my faith strong until I have all my expectations met! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
