November 21 – Do Not Joke With Your Faith In Christ

Christians are challenged to improve their relationship with God. No Christian should be complacent with the elementary aspect of Christianity, but everyone should make decisive efforts to meet God’s standard and satisfy him. It is written in the scripture,

“Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame” (Hebrews 6:1-6).

Lesson:

Christianity is a religion with specific characteristics. Religion presents us with the requirements that we must meet in order to go to heaven. Hence, every Christian should practice Christianity at best. We cannot afford to dilly-dally in faith and/or compromise our precious salvation. Every Christian should endeavor to make God happy in whatever he/she does. Many rewards await Christians with the contrite spirit that satisfies God at their best. Heaven will honor faithful Christians in this life, and in heaven also.

Prayer:

Dear God, please give me the grace to love and serve you with full devotion. Give me strength to serve you with a contrite heart; empower me through your Holy Spirit to meet all your expectations so that I can prosper on earth and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
