November 8 – Sanctity Of Marriage

God promotes marriage and sanctity of marriage; he asks his children to marry rather than falling into sexual temptations. The scripture explained,

“It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband” (1 Corinthians 7:1-3).

Lesson:

Children of God are safeguarded by the scripture to please God, and to abstain from sexual sin. The Creator encourages his children to get married and be committed to their marriages. (Meanwhile, God only allows marriage to happen between a man and a woman!) When a person marries, he is dedicated to satisfying his or her partner and pays consistent attention to things of God. Therefore, children of God are required to get married rather than participate in illicit activities that corrupt body, mind, and soul – which are punishable by God.

Prayer:

Dear God, I am committed to dedicating my life to serving you in holiness; therefore, I am determined to give all it takes to stay away from sins – especially, sexual sins that corrupt body, mind, and soul. Please help me to keep my body pure by resisting fornication and adultery. Help me to maintain my integrity and stay consistent with bible standards. Let me remain pure before you so that I can receive your blessings in this life, and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
