Laban lost his god (idol) and lamented for it bitterly. He exclaimed, “Someone has stolen my god!” The man had to pursue Jacob’s entourage and disrupted their traveling. Laban patted everyone’s pocket and searched tents in an attempt to locate his god. However, it is unfortunate that the same Laban had lived with Jacob for more than 14 years, and watched him served the Living God who had blessed him. Laban witnessed how God of heaven had changed Jacob’s status from being a poor person to a significantly rich man! Unfortunately, the man (Laban) was obsessed with idol worship, and could not appeal to his common sense that he was engaging in a foolish!
