GOD HONORS THOSE WHO HONOR HIM – Jeremiah

God Will Reciprocate Your Love an Obedience

God honors those who honor him. He gives chances to those who give him chances in their heart. In order words, God, who is gracious and merciful, doesn’t allow people to take him for granted.

This lesson can be learned as God dealt with his children who attempted to ride on his unending grace. The Israelites tested the limit of God’s grace; they learned their lesson big time!

God had warned the Israelites, his children, several times to repent from their wickedness and obey his laws. The people wouldn’t listen. Instead, they persisted in their evil way, with the hope that God is merciful to act harshly against anyone.

Israelites got it wrong as their day of reckoning came. They were caught unaware, and they faced the consequences of their evil.

An invading army came to the land to loot and carry the people to a foreign land. Many of them would never see their land till death.

The scripture reported the invasion of Jerusalem, the Israelites’ beloved city:

“Now in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month (which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, who served the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. He burned the house of the Lord and the king’s house; all the houses of Jerusalem, that is, all the houses of the great, he burned with fire. And all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down all the walls of Jerusalem all around” (Jeremiah 52:12-14).

Lesson on Honor and Obedience

If we stay close to God, he will stay close to us; if we are far away from God, he will also keep his distance from us.

Children of God must learn to honor God and not take him for granted.

The fact that we are privileged to be called sons and daughters of God does not mean God should be considered our equal. God has everything more than us. He is our Creator, and we are his creation.

God is our heavenly Father; he is not the same as our earthly fathers. In other words, don’t compare God to a human being!

God, the supreme Father, has everything at his disposal to do and undo any situation. We should not argue with him, but we should obey his commandments.

If we appease God with our holiness and humble services, he will use his supernatural power to our advantage.

God will go far and wide to benefit us if we keep to his commandments.

Let us understand what God wants from us- his children:

Abstaining from sin True worship Love, and  Carefully following his commandments.

If we stay close to God, he will stay close to us; if we are far away from God, he will also keep his distance from us. #stayclose #keepdistance #stay
