Jesus Christ asked his disciples to diligently tarry for his second coming and said,
“Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them also, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Luke 12:37-40).
Lesson:
All Christians are encouraged to steadfastly and patiently wait for the second coming of Jesus Christ without compromise. If remain consistent, Christ will return to rapture them to his father’s kingdom. Believers who remain consistent in their faith and also keep the testimony of Jesus Christ will be regarded as “Just” on the last day, and they shall be rewarded for their faithful services. Christ will rapture his saints home, and he will wipe tears of affliction and persecution off their faces. Jesus will also award his imperishable crown of glory to the saints, and give grant them permanent access to his Father’s kingdom. Hence, believers must stay put and keep their testimony unto the end since tremendous rewards would be awarded to them afterward.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus Christ, please give me the grace to remain steadfast and maintain a consistent relationship with you so that I can receive great rewards from you in heaven. Help me to keep watching and waiting till you return to earth to rapture your saints. Count me worthy for your rapture, and let my name remain registered in the book of life. When my earthly journey is over, let me meet you in heaven to sing your hosanna song. I believe you are more than able to answer my prayers, and I thank you Jesus Christ for your saving grace! Amen.
