God affirmed his promises over Israelites his children; he would favor them and restore their losses. God declared,
“Thus says the Lord: ‘If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captives to return, and will have mercy on them’” (Jeremiah 33:25-26).
Lesson:
God is merciful and gracious, and he will not permanently cast off his children. The Creator of heaven and earth will remember the covenants that he has made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He will also remember their descendants and bless them.
Christians share equal rights with any descendant of Abraham (They have gravitated to the same covenant through Jesus Christ). Therefore, people who have confessed their faith in Jesus Christ should congratulate themselves. Those who have not taken steps of faith should do so by confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Prayer:
I am so glad that I have confessed to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Hence, the covenant of Abraham is bound to apply to my life. I pray that God should keep my feet firm in the courtyard of his blessings so that I can enjoy his benefits forever! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
