December 8 – Never Stop Praising God

Evil befell the City of Jerusalem, but Jeremiah still found some reasons to praise God. The prophet praised God for sparing a few remnants of Israel in their land to honor his promise made for their forefathers. Jeremiah praised God and said,

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Lesson:

Children of God should cultivate a habit of praising God in whatever circumstance they found themselves in. Indeed, some uncomfortable wind may blow towards our shore, but we still have God who has control of all situations. God who has saved us from terrible situations in the past can still save us again. He can deliver us from troubles; heal our diseases, and meet other needs. Yes, God of the good time is the God of the bad time! He has the power to make whatever wrong become right again! Jehovah will not forget his children, but he will do whatever is necessary to lift our heads above the waters and make us smile again. Our heavenly Father who never sleeps will surely take care of us – to his best satisfaction! Therefore, no child of God should slumber to depression, every believer should have a hope declaration and say “My God whom I serve daily shall supply all my needs!”

Prayer:

I am a child of God, and I believe in his power to meet all my needs! God has power over all situations; he will triumph over any circumstance that may come my way. Jehovah will subdue mountains and level valleys for my sake. With God on my side, I will prevail over every adversity; I will triumph in all situations. Yes, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am a winner, and God’s songs of testimony will never elude my mouth. The victory of the Lord is my portion, and God’s testimony is my heritage in the land of the living – forever! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my declarations! Amen.
