July 30 – The Help Of Holy Spirit

Paul prayed for Christians to have the spirit of unity so that they can serve God together with one mind. Paul prayed,

“Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,  that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 15:5-6).

Lesson:

Christians need to operate in unity to promote the gospel and expand God’s kingdom. However, it is almost impossible to achieve this goal among brethren without the help of the Holy Spirit. Believers need the Holy Spirit more than anything else! The Holy Spirit will help brethren to pursue the ultimate goal of satisfying God’s desires – than satisfying world pressure and craving of flesh. Therefore, it is important that the Christian body devote tangible time to seek God’s face to receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and operate under his divine guidance.

Prayer:

Dear God, please baptize the Christian community with your Holy Spirit. Let brethren lay down self and pride to submit to each other in love. Let genuine love reign among brethren, so that your light of the gospel can radiate through them to the world, and unbelievers become saved. For in the name of your Son Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
