June 13 – Trusting God Will Not Be In Vain

Terrible and overwhelming circumstances befell David, but he still managed to express his confidence in God. David was very sure that his God was strong enough to deliver him from all his tribulations. The man composed a psalm and said,

“Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved… My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God” (Psalm 62:1-7).

Lesson:

All Christians should learn how to trust God in their difficult moments. No challenge should be able to stop us from trusting God, since nothing is beyond his reach. He is strong and able to solve any problem – irrespective of its magnitude! Meanwhile, if we do not trust God, who else should we trust? We cannot expect any miracle from a fellow human being, since all humans are fallible and are limited in capability. Believers must trust God and ask for his help since he is omnipotent and unbeatable! No matter how terrible a trial is, it would submit to God’s power. Therefore, everyone who wants to laugh over his or her problem must trust God.

Prayer:

Dear God, please enable me to anchor my faith in you at all times. Let me have resolute faith, and let me trust you over any challenge that may come my way. Give me victory; let me laugh, and let Satan be ashamed. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
