June 18 – Success Is With God

King Solomon built a new temple and he dedicated it to God. He also gathered his people and prayed for them. It is reported,

“When Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the Lord, that he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven. Then he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying: “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us” (1 Kings 8:54-57).

Lesson:

God has the power to assist anyone to achieve success. He will support anyone who pursues a mission with a good purpose. The Creator will go the extra mile and do remarkable things for a god-fearing adventurer. In fact, there would be no unachievable task for the fellow. However, a person whose intentions are impure may not prosper. If he or she prospers, it would not last long. A success that lasts long and is also inheritable by others must inculcate the fear of God.

Prayer:

Dear God, please help me to have a good motive and pursue missions that will incur your blessings. Let my thoughts and actions result in the betterment of people’s lives. Also, let my efforts glorify your name. Let me succeed in my endeavors, and enable me to share the testimony of your goodness throughout the world. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
