November 7 – Prayer Is An Important Tool For Believers

Jabez realized that he had been living under a curse, and he decided to take a proactive step against it. The scripture explained,

“Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested” (1 Chronicle 4:9-10).

Lesson:

Prayer is powerful to destroying Satan’s works in people’s lives. It may not cost money, but it is an effective tool to combat life crises. Prayer is like a two-edged sword that cuts through anything that comes to its path. However, some people consider prayer a difficult task to perform. It should not be difficult at all! If we can exercise our mouths to eat, drink, and talk; then we should not find it difficult to pray also. Therefore, no Christian should overlook the necessity of prayer, but we should seriously use the tool to address all issues that concern us. God answers the prayers of his people, and he will definitely answer us. He is caring, and he will show us his loving-kindness.

Prayer:

Dear God, please empower me to pray always. Help me to utilize prayers to conquer my life battles. Let me use prayers to address and overcome all circumstances that challenge my faith, peace, and progress. Please grant all my heart desires when I call and let it be well with me throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
