Paul explained the importance of God’s word (both in Logos and Rhema context). He said,
“ For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake” (1 Thessalonians 1:5).
Lesson:
The word of God serves two important purposes: It gives insightful knowledge (which is known as logos) and spiritual power (which is known as rhema). Both impartations are necessary for anyone to prosper on earth, and also to enter into the kingdom of God. Since God’s word is so much important, every Christian should become familiar with it. The more a Christian studies God’s word, the better his or her life will become.
Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to study the bible (which is your word) always. Enable me with grace to stay consistent with your word so that I can gain knowledge and wisdom needed to live a successful life on earth, and also to be counted worthy to enter your eternal kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my request. Amen.
